Training with memory competition events, like names, numbers, cards, echopic, and others, is an easy way to get practice with memory techniques. It is a fact the skills developed from memory events transfer to other aspects of learning.
But I feel like a lot of people are not interested in memory competition type of training. In the past, I have made custom training for memory techniques like creating images for words then seeing if you get the same image when you go through the words again.
I have a variety of things I do to train different aspects of memory techniques. But I would love to learn what other people do to practice memory techniques. There may be some ways people practice with memory techniques you and I would have never thought of!
How do you practice memory techniques? Do you have a go to practice routine? Does what you are trying to learn influence how you practice?
